What is Astrology?

Where you were born, and when you were born gives a unique planetary picture of who you are. You are mapping out your place in the Cosmos. There are 10 planets, the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. There are also the 12 Astrological signs: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Each sign has a house, a natal home, and each sign also rules a particular house. Like a circle, the Ecliptic is divided into 360 degrees, starting with Aries, and ending with Pisces which gives us the picture of the natal wheel, each sign has 30 degrees.

Your Natal Chart

Your natal chart shows where the planets are in the cosmos as a snapshot in time when you were born, so where the planets are, which sign they fall in, and in which house they are placed in all have a bearing upon who you are, and your personal life path, and characteristics. You may have some houses which have no planets in, some which have lots of planets in. When people talk about your star sign it means which sign the sun was in when you were born. Most astrological horoscopes in the papers are based upon this, but a natal chart shows where ALL the planets are, to give you a really detailed picture. The Planets show what is happening, the houses show where (which area of life) it is happening, and the signs show how it is happening!

Astrological Reading

An Astrological reading shows themes about your personality, your challenges and skills, your own personal portrait. It also demonstrates how the constantly moving planets affect you individually now and in the months to come and the ways that this might happen for you.

An Astrological reading gives you huge insight into yourself, your personal potential, or how you might use certain times of the year to start businesses, know times when it’s good to look for love etc. Looking at how the planets are interacting with you and the themes in your life is tremendously beneficial and can help you realise why things are happening as they are from an Astrological perspective.
