THE ASTROLOGICAL SIGN ESSENCES

The Astrological Signs series offers the opportunity to develop qualities afforded by each sign. They are very helpful in firming up themes and aspects you’d like more of in your life. All the Astrological Essences were made at times that were potent and powerful to each individual sign, so they really embody the quality of that sign in its fullness.

When people talk about their Star sign, (Are you a Scorpio, a Virgo etc) they mean ‘Where was the sun in their chart when they were born?’. Horoscopes in newspapers etc are based on sun (star) signs, so people know that they are a Taurus, or a Gemini for example. 

There are all of the other signs too, which all of the different planets fall into, so you might have your Sun sign in say, Leo, and your Rising sign (Ascendant) in another sign entirely. This plethora of planet placements is what makes us all unique, and these Essences equally offer particular themes and qualities to help you in your life. An Astrological reading takes notice of where all of the planets are when you were born, which signs or houses the planets fall into, and what aspects those planets make with the others in the chart.

In Astrology, each Sign has a signature that is related to both the element of that sign (Fire, Water, Earth and Air) and also a position by the traditional natal house, for example, Aries, the first sign, is a Fire sign, which rules the first house, the house of the Self. It is a Cardinal sign, the first expression of the element of fire. Aries is in domicile in the first house, (it is at home and rules that house). The next Fire sign Leo, is a fixed one, and the last fire sign, Sagittarius, is a Mutable sign. They represent each stage of the 30 degrees of each sign, the progression of the fire signs. The same patterns exist for the Earth, Water and Air signs too.

All of these aspects are taken into account in the Essences, as they all represent different stages of the journey. So the Essences have the flavour of the Element, the house it is in domicile in the Astrological wheel, and, what modality it is (Cardinal, Fixed or Mutable). 

As the Signs Essences were all made at particularly powerful Astrological times for that sign, it gives an added magic to the essence as you begin to take it, because you then gives deeper meaning in each sign and how it relates personally to you. Astrology is multifaceted and these Essences are designed to incorporate those specific themes, to make them unique and personal to you.

The Astrological Essences can be taken in a number of ways, by sign, element, by natal house position, by Modality. Astrology is nuanced and subtle and incorporates many aspects. These Essences have been taken by clients who have wanted to develop the quality of the sign, say for example, to help give more assertiveness and drive by using the Aries Essence. The Gemini Essence might be taken to improve your communication skills.

There are many different ways and themes in how to take the Essences, People often gift the different Essences to friends and relatives based on their sun (star) sign. Often in Astrological Readings, certain signs will be more prominently featured than others. A natal chart might have lots of planets in Earth signs,(practical) or not so many in water signs (emotions) and so some people might take an Essence to balance up needing more of that element in their lives.

Some clients have purchased the Astrological Essence set to go sequentially through the Astrological Wheel journey, starting at Aries, and ending at Pisces.

Some people have wanted to take the Astrological Sign Essence, followed by the Ruling planet of that sign, to really deepen the theme, so for example you might want to take the Leo Essence, to look at Self Confidence, and follow up with The Sun Essence, the ruling planet of Leo, to solidify and anchor in your ability to walk forward more comfortably in your own skin and be more able to shine.

Sometimes certain Essences come to the surface in an Astrological Reading with me as to how the signature of the signs or the planets is showing up prominently for you in your natal chart or where you might want to explore those themes in your life.
